Hampton High and Hampton-Dumont School Alums and current classes have donated and are challenging other graduating classes to donate funds to the Make A Splash! Campaign. The following classes are currently represented with enough donated to their respective class contribution to be eligible for an engraved landscaping paver: HHS Classes of '65, '68, '70, '76 & '80. Hampton-Dumont Classes of '90, '11, '12, '13, '14, '15, '16, '17, '18, '19, '20, '21, '22 & '23.

Make A Splash! awarded $20K by Union Pacific Foundation
Union Pacific Foundation representative, Brenda Mainwaring, presented a $20,000 award to the Make A Splash! Campaign on May 5th.
The City of Hampton submitted an application for this UP Foundation community betterment grant in 2010. The support and endorsement of corporate sponsors such as this play an important role in the success of this financial campaign, and we are so grateful that the Make A Splash! Campaign was selected as one of this year's recipients. THANK YOU!
CEMETERY FENCE RESTORATION
With community interest in restoring the Hampton Cemetery fence, which was removed during the recent Highway 65 Improvement Project, the Hampton City Council on October 26th approved designating 1/3 of the estimated cost, up to $10,000, of City funds towards the renovation plan. The Mayor has appointed a community fund raising committee to assist with the balance of expenses associated in the renovation and installation of the fence. Progress of the funding status may be monitored on the sign displayed at the Cemetery.

Tax deductible donations toward this project may be submitted at Hampton City Hall. Make checks payable to Cemetery Fence Restoration or indicate "Cemetery Fence" in the Memo space.

BAND SHELL RENOVATION
On Tuesday, June 22, 2010, the Hampton City Council unanimously voted to proceed with the Band Shell renovation proposal presented by RDG Planning & Design of Des Moines, Iowa. The "Put the Band Back in the Band Shell" fund raising efforts were VERY successful, allowing the renovation project to proceed.
On October 11-12, 2010, The Veit Group of Rogers, MN, began the stage stabilization process, after local contractors installed the necessary electrical & plumbing upgrades and prep. Click "More Info" to see photos.

HAMPTON AQUATIC CENTER
Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Hampton Aquatic Center was held on Monday, June 14, 2010.
Construction is well underway by lead contractor, Christiansen Construction Company, LLC, of Pender, Nebraska.

MAKE A SPLASH! CAMPAIGN
The Make a Splash! Campaign for the Hampton Aquatic Center offers the opportunity for individual, organization, business and/or corporate financial contributions to the funds established to offset costs in the construction of a new aquatic center to replace the former Hampton Municipal Pool.
